Why a blog?

This year, Josh and I have hiked different trails around Colorado.  It's been pretty difficult to try to find info about the trails online.  The maps available are old-school and you actually have to calculate trip length with a legend, which is pretty hard given that the trails are squiggly lines and the legends are straight lines...plus, there was none of the important info that I needed to know (Is there parking at the trailhead?  Do you have to pay?  Are there port-o-potties?  With paper?) So, I decided to start keeping track of where we've been and taking suggestions on where we should go next.  We'll post trail info and photos and hopefully make it easier for people to get out and take a hike :)
